Wee Generation

Hello! My name is Shelly, and I have been the owner of Wee Generation Child Care Center since 2007. I had my first child twenty-nine years ago and was unable to find quality day care for him. Starting my own business was not something that I had ever really thought about, but it was my best option at the time. I opened a small, in-home daycare cent... er in 1990. I have never regretted my decision. Not only did I get the opportunity to spend more time with my own children, but I also had the opportunity to open my heart and home to others. I was presented with an opportunity to open a larger child care center in 2007, and while I was a little hesitant at first, I ultimately decided that the opportunity to meet and serve other families was worth the extra work that came along with it. The families make every day enjoyable. I began my career with a small in-home daycare, and many of the values that motivated me to start my own daycare then are still very important in my center today. I believe children need small classroom settings, personalized curriculum, and opportunities for one-on-one interactions with our dedicated staff. Building our program around these principles allows us to provide children with an excellent education without compromising the family atmosphere that makes our center a home-away from home for our students. Wee Generation has been under the management of the current owner since 2007. We take pride in our ability to facilitate the social, physical, and intellectual growth that children need to successfully transition into a school setting while also providing the love and attention that all children crave.
