We Are Tech

We Are Tech is an EdTech STARTUP that empowers people of color. We provide EdTech programming and products that focus on empowering students and communities of color with technology. We produce culturally competent sponsored events and workshops that teach youth of color about using technology, and the public about the effects of the Digital Divide... on communities of color. Our programs are intended to serve as a conduit for the tech industry to funnel resources into communities of color. We are currently developing a mobile app product, called FWRD, to provide our community resources thatll teach them how to use various technologies for specific digital tasks. Our products content is intended to provide our community with insightful information thatll support them as they grow in their understanding of using technology. More info on our debut app, FWRD, is coming in Fall 2021. The beginning of the year is Community Season at We Are Tech, and for this season we produced an inaugural event series, called Lets Talk About Equity. In March 2021, Lets Talk About Equity was hosted as a 3-part panel series that brought together Thought Leaders in Education, Technology, and Community Advocacy to talk about how the tech industry can equitably invest in communities of color.Read More
