Wright Computer Products was founded in 1985 as a sales organization that dealt primarily in office furniture. In the late 80's the big "Box" retailers made it very difficult to compete in the office furniture business. About this time one of our salespeople came back from the Philadelphia Navy Base after an unproductive sales call. The call, it tu... rns out, was a turning point in the company's growth. The Navy, it seemed, had thousands of computers and nowhere to store them aboard their ships. Soon after, Wright Computer Products, Inc. was in the Shipboard Furniture Business. Our first product was a lockable PC cabinet with aluminum doors. Compared to the World War II era furniture aboard Navy ships at that time, the design was almost revolutionary. We expanded our line to include Viewport Computer Workstations and Multi-Media Cabinets as well as more traditional Mil-Spec furniture. Over the years we developed a reputation of being flexible, accommodating and efficient. We developed a strong position in a niche market. As technology changed we remained willing to change as well. We introduced dozens of "Storage Solutions" to the Maritime Industry over the last fifteen years. Today, the U.S. Navy is more efficient and able to log more missions with fewer sailors. It is because of this change in our business that we began to look for other land-based storage opportunities, while continuing to provide our maritime base with excellent service. Today, we are very pleased about our latest ventures: Weapons Storage and Laptop/Notebook Storage.
