W.C. Wood Company was founded in 1930 to manufacture electrical farm equipment and has been a family owned business ever since. The company's first products were grain grinders, oat rollers, and electric fencers. In the mid-thirties, the company added milking machines and in 1938 the company added the company's first refrigeration product, a milk cooler. The company built the company's first farm freezer that same year. Today, the company manufactures freezers, refrigerators, dehumidifiers, and compact kitchens. During the company's first 75 years the company has made over 10 million of these appliances. Manufacturing is carried on in Guelph, Ontario, Canada and Ottawa, Ohio, U.S.A. with over 1 million square feet of manufacturing, warehousing and office space.
