About Waves Swim School
Waves Swim School was founded in 2001 by Greg Roberts, swimming instructor and coach. Greg has been teaching swimming since 1993. A former walk-on to the University of Florida swim team, Greg officially retired from swimming in 1998 and he started coaching age-group kids shortly thereafter. Greg founded the Pendleton High School swim team and became the head age-group coach for the Clemson Aquatic Team in 1999. Under his direction, the Pendleton High School womens and mens teams placed 3rd and 5th at the State meet in just the second year of existence, sweeping both female relays. Greg attained ASCA level III in only his third year of coaching, achieving three National Age Group swimmers, and a National Y All American. Three high school swimmers under the direction of Greg were awarded Division I collegiate scholarships.
