Welcome to WaterMark Homes -- a luxury home building company. Mark A. Chesnut is the owner and general contractor of WaterMark Homes. He started in the building industry in 2010 as an investor, where he partnered with local builders to renovate historical homes in the Green Hills and East Nashville areas. He eventually transitioned into new home co... nstruction so that he could bring his style of home design to the Nashville area. It was during these six years that Mark learned the business of home construction, where he developed as a designer and builder who loved spending every day on the job site. Mark's lifelong dream to become a home builder since 7th grade has become a reality. He obtained his general contractor's license in 2016 and started what is now known as WaterMark Homes. He specializes in building luxury homes in the Nashville and Williamson County areas. Mark's intention is to only build a handful of homes each year so that he can focus his attention on each individual home, and continue to be intricately involved in the design and construction of each home. Mark has a passion for building a historic style of home that will stand the test of time. Each project requires its own architecture and character, and this is where he begins each home utilizing award winning architect partners. Mark personally makes all of the selections and finishes for each of his speculative homes, and assists the custom buyer throughout the selection process as well. Each home, whether a spec or custom, is as individual and unique as each new homeowner. Mark and his wife, Michelle, live in Franklin, Tennessee. Keely is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Kalin is a graduate of Belmont University, and Eli attends Battle Ground Academy.
