About Wastenot

Ann & Liz together have over 50 years of experience renovating and building residential and commercial buildings. They have advanced training and expertise in city planning, development, restoration, reuse and safety. In addition, they have received the historic preservation award in Cambridge, MA. Ann & Liz are committed to innovative salvaging and creating jobs by hiring locally. In standard demolition practice, a structure is leveled and the debris is hauled away to a landfill. Often, there are many good and useful materials that are thrown away. These items can easily be removed prior to demolition and be reused or repurposed: windows, doors, cabinets, countertops, appliances, heating/air conditioning systems, plants and landscape materials. WasteNot solves the waste problem by removing useful building materials from existing structures before demolition. WasteNot donates usable materials to other non-profit groups that build affordable housing, and to greenfocused non-profits invoRead more
