WASHINGTON TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY is a new university that will serve the needs of students in the Northwest. Utilizing state of the art teaching approaches and the best technologies, WTU will offer those with Associate Degrees or the equivalent a low cost, high quality, efficient approach to completing their Bachelor degree in fields with high empl... oyment potential. Washington Technology University applied in early May 2017, to the Washington State Student Achievement Council for Degree Granting Authority, and expects to have its application review completed by the end of Summer, 2017. When approved, WTU expects to begin offering classes towards a Bachelor of Science in Information Security at its campus in Bellevue Washington, focusing on programming, networking, and information security, in January 2018. Beginning as an upper division program, the curriculum is designed to meet both the growing employment requirements for individuals with information security knowhow and the desires of community college graduates and transfer students for worthwhile careers in essential technology fields.
