Washington Rock Quarries is located in Orting, Washington, in the foothills of Mount Rainer. The company's high-capacity ALMIX aggregate drying and bagging plant is located in the pit. Kapowsin Quarry produces crushed rock, quarry spalls, riprap, and a large armor rock used in shoreline protection. The quarry also produces a variety of aggregates to build synthetic turf fields. With nearly 350 million tons of material in reserve, the company can supply the company's customers with consistent, quality material for years to come. Both King Creek Pit and Kapowsin Quarry are well known for their outstanding quality of aggregates, which are approved for use by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), the US Army Corp of Engineers, and the Federal Highways Division.
