Before joining Ward Black Law in 2007, Gerard Davidson practiced personal injury and products liability litigation with the Greensboro firm of Smith Moore Leatherwood, LLP for 35 years. His practice there focused on products liability and toxic tort litigation and he was involved in a number of high profile cases. Gerard graduated from Wake Forest... University cum laude, with a degree in Political Science and then graduated from Wake Forest Law School in 1968 where he was ranked 10th in his class. He served as Business Manager of the Wake Forest Law Review. In addition to his work at Ward Black Law, Gerard is currently serving as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Wake Forest School of Law teaching pretrial practice and procedure. Prior to his career at Smith Moore Leatherwood, Gerard served from 1968 to 1973 in the United States Army as a Captain in the Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAGC), prosecuting and defending soldiers in Courts Martial. Gerard is active in his community. He has served a number of terms as an elder at First Presbyterian Church in Greensboro and on various church committees. He has taught the "Seekers" Sunday School class there for more than fifteen years. Gerard has been active with Habitat for Humanity in Greensboro, serving on its Board of Directors for eight years and as Chairman of the Board in 2005-2007.
