About Wapato Engineering
Wapato Engineering LLC was incorporated in 2008 after a successful prototype of an LED Marine Deck light. Commercial fishermen wanted a light that could replace their current Quartz halogen fixtures, and would draw less power and require virtually no maintenance. The prototype spent six months in the Gulf of Alaska, lighting the back deck (over the stern) and lighting the net as it was pulled in. Currently, two production level lights are mounted on the gantry facing forward lighting back deck. These lights have been running continuously since June 2009. Over the last year, the design has been refined and brought to a production level. Wapato Engineering has 30 years of experience designing systems from PCs to high and servers and is applying this experience to provide you a cost effective LED Lighting solution.
