Walkingworld is, first and foremost, a web community. The core content is generated by a growing band of members who contribute walks and, equally importantly, maintain them afterwards. We are absolutely indebted to the 450 or so keen walkers who contribute their routes. Through them you have access to local knowledge and insider information that w... ould be much more difficult to obtain otherwise. Other members contribute by reporting back on problems encountered on the walks, either because the instructions need some tweaking or because something has changed on the ground. Their part in maintaining the quality of this walk guide is invaluable and helps to mark it out from printed guides which inevitably go out of date. Finally members who subscribe or buy individual walks are the people who make it all possible.
