vRA-architects provides architecture, planning and consulting services to individual, corporate and development clients. We approach each project with an inquiring rigor that focuses equally on aesthetics, functionality and constructability. Our work is not characterized by a particular style but rather a context based aesthetic that is both intuit... ive and complex. Projects include residential, winery, artisan-food, commercial and mixed-use and infill projects. In addition to traditional architectural services, we offer; land-use entitlements, project-management, Eno-tecture, and winery development services. As the third generation of his family to be associated with building construction in Sonoma County, Steve developed an early interest in architecture and its impact on peoples lives. He received a Bachelors of Architecture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and spent his early career working concurrently as an architect and contractor, while pursuing his professional registration as an architect. In subsequent years, Steve worked as the in-house Architect for a large real estate development company, and then as the Director of Facility Development for a large international wine company. In this capacity Steve has been involved in the design and construction of wineries throughout the Californias major wine regions as well as Argentina, Chile, France and Italy. His career has given him the opportunity to work with architects and winemakers throughout the world, providing a unique perspective on the transformative potential of architecture. Paralleling his professional career, Steve served on the City Planning Commission and Design Review Board of the City of Petaluma, eventually chairing both committees.
