VolNepal was founded in 2000. After a few years in operation, we identified the need for a greater transparency and reputability with the international community, and thus we registered ourselves with the relevant local governing bodies. In 2005, we registered with the Chief District Administration Office of Kathmandu, as well as the Social Welfare... Council of Nepal, both of whose primary functions are to oversee the maintenance of law and order, ensure human rights, and protect the humanistic livelihood of Nepal's citizens in the case of a natural disaster. Both the Chief District Administration Office of Kathmandu and the Social Welfare Council of Nepal require annual audits and financial reports to be submitted.
