Responsiveness towards climate mitigation and adaptation has been rightly gaining ground globally. We at VNV Advisory are on a mission to facilitate climate resilient programs that empower vulnerable communities to adapt and transform to the changing climatic patterns. We have been working with various stakeholders to address the issue of responsib... ility towards natural capital and ecosystems. Acknowledging the role that the private sector can play in this domain, we have also been working with them on vital issues of social responsibility, environmental sustainability and climate action. Incorporated in 2010, our community-led programs on climate change have covered over 5 million rural households and 400, 000 HA under land use and forestry across the South Asian region of India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Laos and Bangladesh, contributing substantially to the global fight on climate change and providing a better way of life for climate vulnerable communities in least developed and developing countries. We have also been able to engage with businesses to address issues of social responsibility and environmental sustainability along their supply chain and more recently, to engage upon climate action projects with a high degree of adaptation elements. Over the next decade we are committed to develop a more inclusive ecosystem and to leverage climate finance to create more impactful programs, especially leveraging the private sector. We are gearing up for a post Paris agreement world where the private sector plays a significant role in helping us keep the 1.5-degree target in sight, as well as be able to help the most vulnerable and affected by Climate Change. VNV Advisory has developed strategic alliances with over 50 implementing agencies globally to establish many of our programs.
