About Vintage Cooperatives
A dedication to comfortable, home-like living space makes up the foundation of Vintage Cooperatives. When founder Jeff Ewing's grandfather, Carrollton, was paralyzed from the neck down at age 38, he was fated to spend many years of his life in a nursing home. Carrollton's living space consisted of vinyl tiled floors, institutional lighting and only curtains to separate him from other residents. As a child, Jeff thought there must be a way for his grandmother, Doris, to live with Carrollton in a home-like setting, instead of returning alone to the family farm after visiting Carrollton. As a result, Jeff has dedicated himself to developing communities that respect residents and provide them with comfortable, home-like living spaces. Today, Vintage Cooperatives is developing a reputation for excellence in providing members a strong sense of ownership and community in active, independent, thoughtfully designed and affordable cooperative housing.Explore more
