The town center of Vinings is a relatively new area called Vinings Jubilee. Developed by Atlanta developer Felix Cochran, a resident of Vinings, Vinings Jubliee is a dining and shopping area with unique architectural designs that echo the original buildings of the community. Pedestrian friendly with plenty of sidewalks, the area is lit by street la... nterns and is ornamented with a large clock tower. The Vinings Inn Restaurant is another major city attraction. This building, carefully preserved, dates to the early 1800s and is one of the oldest historic sites in the Atlanta area. In addition to much open space for recreation, the Chattahoochee River flows by Vinings and offers lovely places to boat, picnic, swim, and fish. The nearby Silver Comet Trail is a 37-mile paved path used by walkers, bicyclists, roller bladers, and horse riders. Students in grades K-12 attend highly acclaimed schools in of the Cobb County School District. Nearby colleges and universities include Life University and Southern Polytechnic State University among many others.
