As a Church we are committed to supporting, funding, and praying for those who are serving God in mission in their own unique and special way. The Global Action Team is the engine room o... f Village Baptists overseas mission work. It promotes, supports, and provides awareness of overseas mission as well as encouraging and facilitating anyone considering training for mission and those wishing to serve in mission overseas. The core of our mission work includes: ASHA: This is Village Baptists work in India, where we have 30 staff doing evangelism and humanitarian mission work. TRANZSEND: Supporting NZ Baptist mission workers overseas. FREESET: Support for freedom enterprises in Asia. VILLAGE BAPTIST MISSIONARIES: Support, facilitate and enable our own people who commit to serving God overseas. WORLD VISION: Participating in Child Sponsorship and the 40 Hour Famine. BIBLE SOCIETY: Supplying Bibles for overseas and in NZ. OPEN DOORS: Supporting the persecuted Church in other lands. Village Baptists ASHA Ministry is our mission work in India. It has two core initiatives, Havelock Childrens Centres, and ASHA Outreach. HAVELOCK CENTRES AND HOSTEL: Our work with children and youth provides a refuge for poor and disadvantaged kids. The youth and children in our care are provided with shelter, food, education, and their holistic needs are met. ASHA OUTREACH: We have a staff of 20 evangelists and pastors who plant Churches, construct Church buildings in rural villages, and run programs that have seen thousands of new believers baptized.
