Viewbank House is a 19th century Victorian former farmhouse that has been tastefully converted and extended into a traditional family run guest house, whilst retaining all it's original character, charm and features. From it's elevated position over Whiting Bay, it enjoys superb panoramic views across the Firth of Clyde and Holy Isle to the Ayrshir... e coastline taking in both Troon and Turnberry on a clear day. A short stroll of less than half a mile brings you to the beach and the main village of Whiting Bay, with it's varied facilities and shops including Art Gallery, Post Office, Newsagents, Village Store, DIY store, Pharmacy, Pub and local Bistro. The village is also well served by the island bus routes, and we are just a short walk up the hill from the drop off point. Should you require any assistance on arrival with luggage, we are happy to collect you from the bus stop in Whiting Bay with prior notice. Viewbank House is the ideal tranquil, peaceful and secluded location, without being too remote, for those relaxing "get away from it all" short breaks allowing you to fully unwind. It is also the perfect base for a more extended holiday to explore the hidden treasures of the island. We welcome Walkers and Golfers, with Whiting Bay golf course just a short stroll away - we are happy to book advance tee times - please ask about discounts and special offers for Viewbank residents when booking. As Viewbank is the nearest accommodation provider to both the local Whiting Bay Golf course and the Glenashdale waterfall, you can simply leave your car in our car park and enjoy the 'walk' (see photos down below).
