In 1982, Richard Jolly (President and CEO of VTI) established Valve Train Industries in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Originally, VTI perfected the rebuilding of undersize valves, but in 1988, valve lifters became the focus of the business. VTI has also become a very busy custom shop. VTI will remanufacture any type of lifter if the customer has the cores, a... nd has been able to help a lot of people with their antique and agricultural engines. The best part is that in 94% of the cases the lifters are in and out the same business day. The newest product in the VTI lineup is the top gun lifter. The process used to treat the Top Gun lifter helps with oil retention, therefore helping with the break-in of the lifter.
