In the UK, Valley Produce specialise in growing a wide range of Herbs, Speciality Chinese Vegetables and Baby Leaf Salads. These crops are grown over 350 hectares on five sites across three counties in the South of England. This wide land base provides a variety of soil types and climates ranging from 48 to 149 metres above sea level. Based near Re... ading, Valley Produce's production is geared to the high end of the market embracing the ever increasing standards of all its Customers. Growing seasons differ according to soil type. Early seed germination is assisted by the use of fleece and netting. Valley Produce is managed by eleven full time staff who organise the crop establishment, the growing, the agronomy, the harvesting, the sales and the administration. Valley Produce directly employ up to 80 seasonal staff during the UK harvesting period. To mirror their Summer supply, Valley Produce have now built up partnerships with farming companies in North Africa. These partnerships are to ensure constant and efficient supply to our customers for 52 weeks of the year. Valley Produce's customers include food factories - pack-houses, food service companies and a wide range of wholesalers.
