Utopia Planitia

Utopia Planitia is a series under development from a team led by filmmaker George Reese. It's an epic storyline told in short, 5 to 10 minute episodes that draw you into both characters and action. It begins as a murder/mystery. An executive for the company that governs the only colony on Mars has died. It looks like natural causes, but we know tha... t it's murder. Season 1 opens with three separate investigations into his death and the invevitable fallout. The season will take us "back in time" to Earth where we will witness, first-hand, the planet's fall from climate change disaster. And we'll finish the season on the open plains of Utopia Planitia with another possible murder on our hands. Fresh off her role in American Tender , Nelle June Anderson joins the Utopia Planitia cast as reporter Cala Rodriquez. A native-born Martian, Calas meeting with a company executive ends in a murder. Jamel S. Anderson has agreed to join the cast and play the role of Detective Dar Pallas. Detective Pallas is the small town sheriff who maintains law and order in the UP colony. Its a quiet job until a murder upsets the status quo. Kendra Alaura will be joining the Utopia Planitia cast as production for Season 1 gets under way. She will play an investigator with empathic skills. Her primary job: to keep company secrets in the basement. Thanks to some great support from the Basque Country, we have been able to complete two additional episodes for the first season of Utopia Planitia In December 2019. The two episodes examine the lives of the refugees that flee Earth for the promise of a better life on Mars. They specifically examine the journey of the current owner of Taberna T-Bone (where episode 1 takes place), Gotzon Otxoa.
