We are pleased to announce the new Student Television Network complete with more opportunities to learn, share and participate in programs to enhance the learning experience for teachers and students. One of STN's favorite components has been the robust listserv where you can post a query or a comment and expect a multitude of replies immediately.... Many teachers are the lone staff in a school or even in a city. The listserv allows you to connect with others who are doing what you are doing and able to explain the intricacies of each request in a common language. In 2011-2012, the STN listserv will become even more beneficial as we ask some of our professionals in the industry to weigh in on your questions. Watch for their tutelage over the coming months. Education has long been a mission of STN and we plan to kick up the educational opportunities by several notches. The website's Education Page will include answers to popular listserv questions in a searchable format. In addition, we will be adding video training programs of selected topics that you can use at the classroom level for instructional purposes. We have invested tremendously in the technical expansion of the website and we are planning to introduce the STN Vault, where you will be able to share content with other STN affiliates worldwide. This will allow you to upload relevant stories or search for footage you can use. he STN contests have all been reviewed with regard to participation, judges' comments and quality. Our STN Upload System has proven to be a valuable tool for submitting contest entries and we will continue to improve this sophisticated system for entries and feedback from professionals in the industry.
