About Urban Technology Project
The Urban Technology Project (UTP) is an I.T. Apprenticeship Program in partnership with the School District of Philadelphia and Launch of Philadelphia, aimed at increasing diversity in technology. Since 2002, UTP has provided paid training, on-the-job experience, industry certifications, and mentorship to underrepresented individuals seeking careers in technology. The program targets school district graduates, career changers, and unemployed or underemployed individuals, preparing them for roles in Digital Media, Educational Technology, IT Support, and Software Development. UTP offers three specific apprenticeship programs, including the AmeriCorps Digital Service Fellows, Computer Support Specialists, and Software Developer Apprenticeships.Explore more
