UpWize is developing both an intelligent appliance, and the technological tools to help others create one. The former is a computational model of human cognition that remains biologically plausible at all levels of abstraction . In other words, it is unifying cognitive modeling that must learn from experience. It is more than classical AI (artifici... al intelligence) and more than biologically inspired approaches. Developing the intelligent appliance requires a new approach to unifying science, and tools which support that approach. With its partners, UpWize develops and monetizes such tools for use by science. Our tools and partners include: WikiSilo Our partner Wikisilo.org develops the WikiSilo concept. While Wikipedia is a descriptive pluralism of incoherent and incommensurable scientific conceptions, each WikiSilo functions as a unifying fork to its unifying base arranged hierarchically. Each WikiSilo is controlled by an independent research authority and the intent is to percolate good unifying theories upwards into grandeur ones. Thus the WikiSilo hierarchy is a pluralism of coherent unifying theories. Emergic Approaching While WikiSilo is a minimal set of rules for unifying science in a hierarchy, the Emergic Approach is a much more principled set of rules as to how to develop unified theories. As such, it develops ideas that would ordinarily be thought of as belonging to philosophy, but put together, they are actually foreign to mainstream philosophy. The fundamental aspects are an Emergic Metaphysics and an Emergic Epistemizing. Indeed, WikiSilo is an outgrowth of the Emergic Approach, but for an audience not yet ready to accept the principled rules. Wikimergic is a top-level WikiSilo that includes the Emergic Approach. When the Emergic Approach becomes accepted, then Wikimergic will be merged into the root WikiSilo.
