Upton House School

Upton House School was founded in 1936 by benefactors and has evolved over the years to provide a well-equipped environment in which children can thrive. It is a day school that has been an integral part of the central Windsor community for over seventy-seven years. School buildings comprise a mix of old and new, including a sparkling award-winning nursery, which also incorporates a drama and dance studio and a home economics room, a Prep block, a gymnasium hall (both built within the last ten years), an art room and an Astroturf netball court. We use off-site venues regularly, including a boat house, swimming pool and local playing fields, and we have several nearby allotments which the children cultivate expertly and enthusiastically. The Upton House staff are enterprising, resourceful and loving; standards of education and behaviour are set high and are maintained for the very best interests of the children. The school aims to motivate every child and, within a broad curriculum (as well as French, Spanish and Mandarin, children learn Latin at the top of the school), to develop his or her potential to the full in a happy, enquiring and rewarding atmosphere. Boys are prepared for entry to prep schools in the area at 7+; girls leave after Common Entrance, earning places at a wide range of senior schools. We have an enviable record for placing children in their next school of choice and we continue to see an impressive number of academic and non-academic scholarships every year.
