The Upholstery Shoppe of Sarasota, Inc. has been in operation for 34 years. The primary focus of the business is high end residential upholstery for the Interior Design trade. Areas of specialization include: furniture reupholstery, fabrication of cushions and throwpillows, restructuring of internal frame work, replacement of foam and springs in se... at cushions as well as fabrication and upholstery of custom headboards and beds. The Interior Designers arrange the contracts and ship fabrics to The Upholstery Shoppe. All work is performed in house with the occasional exception of furniture refinishing. In the early 2000s, The Upholstery Shoppe was commissioned by Florida State University to participate in the refurbishment of CadZan the onetime home of John and Mable Ringling. It is a Venetian style mansion located on the grounds of the Ringling Museum of Art. The Upholstery Shoppe was the only company contracted to perform upholstery work for the four-year project.
