Convinced that the technology was sound and forward-looking, the founders invested millions of dollars in de... veloping and advancing the technology to serve a myriad of industries. The company also took on the task of redesigning and reengineering the equipment in order to enhance the quality of the equipment and to have it adhere to ISO, UL, and CE standards. In 1998, the founders decided to stop importing these machines and moved all manufacturing to the United States. After two years of extensive redesigning and engineering, the founders filed and received several US patents and several foreign patents. Patents at hand, they began manufacturing all of the machines in their Southern California facilities; this was necessary in order to control all aspects of fabrication and assembly of the machines. United's advantage over its competitors is that it can modify or redesign all of its machines to accommodate special needs and requirements. More recently, United decided to expand the operations by offering deburring processing services (job shop), filling a void in the industry and acknowledging customer demands.
