About United Basket
United Basket Company was formed in 1945 in Brooklyn, New York. The Company's founder, Max Hanfling, immediately began importing from European sources located in basket producing regions of Poland, Yugoslavia and Portugal. In 1974, Max's son Phil joined the Company. He became President in 1978 and remains the CEO today. In 1979, United Basket embarked on an expansion plan and began importing from Hong Kong, China and the Philippines. The Company also expanded its line of merchandise to include furniture and designer baskets. Now over sixty years since its humble beginnings, United Basket is still known as a primary source for high quality baskets and wicker furniture. We are also beginning to import ceramic bowls, trays and jars for the packaging industry.Explore more
