Nobuaki Tounaka, a truly gifted entrepreneur, is the founder of USP Lab, Tokyo, Japan . Tounaka-san, while working as a Clerk for the Japanese retailer Muji, was requested by Muji to re-build their business information system. With a near non-existent budget to purchase technology, Tounaka-san decided to build the software himself- this, of course,... became Unicage. Tounaka is a technologist and entrepreneur, with academic bona fides, as he is a professor at Kyoto University and University, teaching information technology. In recent years, through global academia, USP Lab received exposure within the MIT community in Kendall Square, unveiling its outstanding history of solid accomplishments in designing and building honest, client-centric information systems and in programming and processing of large amounts of data, with outsized results.
