UCGA has established dedicated UCG Training Courses & Workshops and our flagship event, the UCG International Conference & Workshop, which defines UCG is the premier information and networking event for the global UCG community. UCG is the process, by which coal is gasified whilst still underground, is carried out in deep seams and can be used to access otherwise unmineable coal, so the opportunity for many coal rich nations for such a technology is increasing. The resultant Syngas can be used for large scale energy conversion and industrial processes. Co2 emissions are captured and can be transported and injected into secure geological structures for permanent storage.
