Ultraclean Fuel Pty Ltd is an innovative fuel processing technology company dedicated to ensuring that current fuel quality issues, specifically the reduction of sulphur in transport Fuel, are addressed using the most efficient and responsible approach. Ultraclean's founding members have a wealth of experience within the Oil & Gas and power industr... ies and have been very aware of the environmental challenges facing the petroleum industry moving into the 21st century. Having been involved in providing unique solutions in hydrocarbon processing for many years, Ultraclean was formed in 2004 after Ultraclean's founders were originally introduced to the difficulty of removing sulphur from hydrocarbon through our own need, at the time, for a solution to the problem of efficiently removing sulphur from fuels where a hydrotreater was not feasible or accessable. After exhaustive searching we came to the conclusion that there was presently no alternative, although extensive research had been conducted based upon tried and proven chemical principles. Ultraclean was able to utilize it's own knowledge and experience in the sector to take a real world view of the research already conducted and consider the shortfalls in the research, and more importantly, continue the research whilst considering the limitations imposed on chemistry in the real world with a process - something that none of the research at the time had considered. The result has been the ULTREX process, a skid mounted process which utilizes tried and proven hydrocarbon processing equipment to facilitate the chemical reaction required to remove sulphur from hydrocarbons at relatively low temperature and pressure without the need for hydrogen.
