Sector Skills Councils and National Skills Academies are employer-led skills organisations covering approximately 90% of the UK workforce. They work with over 550,000 employers to define skills needs and skills standards in their industries.Through their sectoral reach, our members are ideally placed to articulate the voice of employers, to develop innovative skills solutions and to galvanise employer ambition and investment in skills and job creation.Sector Skills Councils and National Skills Academies have direct involvement in the UK skills ecosystem at all stages, from establishing need, using labour market intelligence, and developing skills standards, through to employer engagement and designing and delivering solutions.
