We are one of the leading insurance and financial services companies in East Africa, with our headquarters in Nairobi and a network of branches spread across Kenya. Regionally, we are now the second largest insurer in Uganda and the first foreign underwriter in Southern Sudan. Our origins can be traced back over 80 years. The current company was fo... rmed in 1994 after the merger of Union Insurance and Provincial Insurance following the merger of their parent companies, UAP of France and Provincial of the UK. In 1996 we became part of AXA when AXA acquired UAP in France. AXA divested in 2000 and we became a Kenyan company. Since then, we have grown tremendously in volumes, assets and geographical expansion. Volumes have since tripled and net assets have grown more than five times. Our customers are our inspiration and we seek to build life long relationships with them by offering relevant services that enhance their quality of life. We do so in a simple, friendly, efficient and inclusive way, giving them what they want, when and where they want it.
