Stan Tyson always knew he wanted to be a business owner one day. After traveling around the Carolinas as a salesman, he finally settled in Gaston County with his wife Janice and did just that. In June 1987, Tyson's Meat Company was founded on Chestnut Street in Gastonia, NC as a Wholesale Distribution Supplier. With only a small delivery truck, Sta... n was determined to and committed to serving local businesses and the community in Gaston County and surrounding counties in the Carolinas . As Tyson's Meat Company grew, so did Stan's family. He and his wife Janice welcomed two sons into the world and in October of 1996, the business moved to our current location on Ozark Ave in Gastonia. Two years later, in March of 1998, the name was changed to Tyson Bros., Inc. Since moving to our current location on Ozark, we have greatly expanded the size of our facility and fleet. In 2003, we expanded our product line to offer our customers fresh beef and pork processed right here on-site. In May 2015, we opened our Retail Center where customers can come browse some of our most popular fresh cut meats and products at Wholesale prices. At almost 30 years in the industry, Tyson Bros., Inc. is still run by Stan Tyson with his wife and two sons beside him.
