Twigs Kids

TWIGS KIDS was founded in 1972 by Tom and Linda Jones as TWIGS Christian Gymnastics Club (True Winners In God's Service), which was one of the first athletic training organizations established in Ohio. Classes were originally held in a small church in Germantown, Ohio with only six students; less than a year later, the business was moved into a 5,0... 00 sq. ft. building in nearby Miamisburg. Despite humble beginnings, TWIGS was dedicated to providing the very best gymnastics training possible in a Christian environment. Since its founding, TWIGS has held true to that dedication and produced many highly successful athletes including Kelly McCoy who was qualified to the Olympic Trials in 1979 by TWIGS. The same year as Kelly McCoy's qualification, Tom Jones offered a coaching job to Bob Putman (pictured to the right with family) who later purchased TWIGS in 1987. For the next fifteen years, the business continued to flourish and the demand on our programs grew until their capacity was exceeded. In the spring of 2002, exactly thirty years after the founding of TWIGS, TWIGS KIDS was created and moved into a new, state-of-the-art 20,000 sq. ft. facility especially equipped for swimming and cheer as well as gymnastics.
