Turf Tamers

Turf Tamers established roots in 1999, while owner-operator Mike Svaleson attended middle school in Fargo, ND. The company began with one push mower, a weed eater, and a dolly cart for hauling clippings. He serviced a number of customers in the immediate area of the Svaleson family home. When Svaleson turned 16, he received a drivers license which... opened a whole new set of doors! Now able to expand out of walking distance from the family home in South Fargo, he was able to establish customers throughout Fargo-Moorhead. Since 2006, Turf Tamers has expanded into a full service lawn care, landscaping and snow removal company. In 2011, Svaleson purchased H20 Sprinkler Systems and our lawn care service abilities grew exponentially. Turf Tamers has also expanded in to dirt work, grading, and landscape design. When asked about his successful business, Svaleson states, "I love my job because I get to be outside every day and work hard to improve every one of my customer's properties. I strive for compliments and the satisfaction of leaving a property in much better shape then before we started the job!"
