It has been a rewarding experience serving others as an alternative healthcare provider. My career began in 2003 when I became a licensed massage therapist. As a beginner I pract... iced in spas and salons, but didnt really find my passion until I was able to work with other health care providers. I was genuinely amazed by the positive results I saw in those patients seeking chiropractic care in combination with massage. I found excitement in watching patients recover from injuries with my work and the help of a chiropractor, no drugs needed! It was this experience that inspired me to seek out higher education in order to offer more to my patients and become a chiropractor myself. After completing my undergraduate studies at Portland State University I was accepted into the four-year doctorate program at Western States Chiropractic College. Since becoming a chiropractor I have practiced within urgent care facilities in both New York and Washington specializing in motor vehicle accident recovery and other injuries. I opened True Balance Chiropractic in 2011 to continue caring for those with injuries but also providing wellness care to prevent injuries and promote health. My practice model uses a combination of gentle chiropractic adjusting; massage therapy techniques, and nutritional advice. I believe that healthcare should be about looking at the body as a whole to understand and treat the origin of pain and dysfunction.
