Relationships with product representatives and the products they provide contribute to the architectural specification services provided by TAC. Knowledgeable product selection and evaluation services are an essential part of the services provided. Specifications are legally enforceable contract documents and their accuracy and thoroughness are essential. David is dedicated to the use of the four C's of effective communication in the preparation of these documents: Clear, Concise, Correct, and Complete. David has been an active member of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) for twenty years. He has contributed many hours of service to further the professionalism of the AEC industry. He is the past Board President of the Grand Rapids Chapter of CSI and currently the Chapter Certification Chair for which he organizes the Certified Document Technologist (CDT) study sessions and provides mentoring to others for the various CSI certifications. He also serves on a regional level as the Great Lakes Region Certification Chair. David is committed to promoting the new MasterFormat 2004 and has made presentations to local organizations and companies explaining its structure and benefits. He became a MasterFormat Accredited Instructor (MAI) during the Chicago based CSI Show in April of 2005.
