Troop 112

Troop 112 offers a very effective youth outreach program that has helped develop thousands of boys into men of character over the years. We continue to live by the Boy Scouts of America long-standing Oath and Law. These include duty to God and Country, helping others at all times, and to be: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, O... bedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean and Reverent. Presently, Troop 112 has 50+ registered Scouts and 30+ registered Adult Leaders and parents. With things changing so rapidly in the lives of youth today, we strive to keep our program meaningful and multi-faceted to meet the needs of youth at different ages. A part of this process is to utilize Scout input and give the boys a voice in the process. Our goal is to have a positive influence, keep them engaged, and teach them to "Be Prepared" for life. In doing so, we hope to also a make a difference in our community. For our Adult Leaders and parents, Scouting seems to slow the clock down a bit and create strong memories that might otherwise be missed. Whether it's rappelling a 100 foot cliff in Red River Gorge, performing a community service project or winning a game of dodgeball at a Tuesday evening Troop meeting, the scrapbook definitely gets thicker when Scouting becomes a part of your family.
