Triumphant Tails

Triumphant Tails, Inc. was founded in April 2011 by Kym Ann Dabideen-Denton and Ron Denton. We are a non-profit, 100% volunteer-based canine rescue organization located in the southeastern suburbs of Houston, Texas. To date, we have assisted with re-homing more than 250 shelter dogs, strays and owner-surrenders. We are NOT a high-volume rescue orga... nization. It is our goal to be able to provide the best possible care, training and in-depth evaluations of each dog that comes into our program so as to find a forever home that is suitable for that dog's personality and needs. All of our dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped before they are re-homed. Due to the overwhelming cost of supplies and veterinary care needed to keep our rescued canines healthy and happy while they are in our program, we are very limited on the number of canines we can accept. In order to make room for another precious life to be saved, we rely on finding suitable forever homes for the dogs already in our program so that our doors can open for another needy canine to arrive. Many of our rescued canines come from death row at local shelters. They are dogs which have been owner-surrendered to the shelters, or strays which have been picked up by animal control officers. Typically, these dogs have had an extended stay at the shelter facility and their "time is up" due to limited shelter space, or because they are not faring well in a shelter environment, or because they have injuries which oftentimes are treatable but which prohibit them from becoming an adoptable candidate. They are great dogs who deserve a second chance at a great life but have nowhere to go. Our volunteers are at the heart of all that we do. From fostering our rescued canines, to assisting us at adoption events, to spreading the word about our many dogs in need - each and every moment of time they spend helping us saves another life.
