Trinity Lutheran Seminary

The Lutheran Church of South Sudan is a growing African church body with congregations in South Sudan, Ethiopia, and Kenya, as well as members also in Uganda, the Congo, and other countries in East Africa. Because of the great refugee problem in war-torn South Sudan, we also minister to many people in refugee camps in both Ethiopia & Kenya. We are... committed Lutheran Christians who who have been touched by the Gospel of forgiveness of sins in Jesus our Savior, and who also have responded to this Gospel by reaching out to others in Africa with the life giving message of Jesus, as well as ministering to the physical and emotional needs of the refugees and other poor people in East Africa. Because of the civil war in South Sudan, the church body has had to make its headquarters in Gambella, Ethiopia, a few miles over the border from South Sudan. The church runs Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Gambella, Ethiopia, and supports Trinity Lutheran College, also in Gambella.Read More
