The Bible is our sole authority for faith and practice. It is our desire to be a true New Testament church. For several years, a young preacher named Vinton Williams had felt a burden for Fauquier County. It was in March 1973 under God's leadership that he and his family moved to Warrenton to start a brand new church. Together with a handful of families, they began meeting in the basement of the old Marshall National Bank and Trust building (now PNC Bank). Finally, on January 18, 1974 Trinity Baptist Church was officially organized. As the congregation began to grow, more meeting space was required. So in the summer of 1975, Pastor Williams and the young congregation began to hold services at the P.B. Smith Elementary School on Dumfries Road.
