Our method of achieving this mission is primarily by using and developing technologies - such as additive and advanced manufacturing, robotics, micro-electromechanical systems, machine learning and more - that can provide the step change capabilities to create smart pipelines at scale. Tri-D Dynamics was borne from the ambition of a small group of students at UC San Diego to challenge what was possible. In 2011, Tri-D CEO and co-founder, Deepak Atyam, founded a small student team that would become the first university group in the world to 3D print a rocket engine and fly it. Tri-D co-founders Alex Finch and Jesse Lang were early team leads in this effort, setting the trio towards an obsession with tackling important problems with game changing technologies. With experience gained developing advanced manufacturing technologies in the rocket industry at organizations such as SpaceX, NASA and morethe group set out in 2018 to upgrade our economies with truly smart infrastructure.
