Trevi House

Trevi House is a drug and alcohol residential rehabilitation centre based in Plymouth that works exclusively with mothers and their children. Operating since 1993, it remains the only service of its kind in the UK. Trevi House takes referrals from across the entire UK and take up to 10 women and their children at any given time. Each mother follows... a strict rehabilitation plan which includes daily counselling sessions, group meetings, medical examinations and check-ups from social services. The average length of stay is around 6 months. Facilities include 8 residential rooms, two family apartments, a therapy lodge, creche and a nursery for children to be looked after during therapy times. Trevi House's vision is that children with mums who have a drug or alcohol addiction can be given the chance to remain in their care. This is both in the short term whilst mum undertakes her recovery from addiction, and in the long term as they begin a life together free from addiction and abuse.
