Training Ground

2020 was an interesting year for all. It has challenged our families, communities, our understanding of what comfort was and our business directly. Training Ground has been a home for people to find themselves, redefine themselves or expand their idea of what being fit truly was/is. We have had new relationships, multiple marriages, multiple babies... and best of all, many friendships formed under our watch. We consider it to have been a privilege to have watched you all grow, explore and thrive in your new skin and hope that it has taught you to be afraid, but to take one more step forward in SPITE of that fear. The hardest thing that most of you ever did was walk through our doors for the very first time. Uncomfortable. Alone. Filled with preconceived ideas and unsure of how you will be received. In that humbling moment we hope that you have learned the gift of personal humility, conquered your fears and emerged on the other side scarred, bruised but stronger for have endured the challenge. We tried to qualify, manipulate and bend every opportunity in our favour to keep your 2nd home open. We feel as if we have failed you by closing what we consider to have been a very special place where your growth was more important than a trophy, medal or social media post. We hope that you use what you have learned throughout your life and try to share the lessons that you have learned personally with another who we have not reached. We go through this life alone in our skin but in our associations we are never truly alone through this difficult path called life. We will carry a piece of each of you with us.
