VETERANS INFILTRATE CREATIVE INDUSTRY WITH HELP FROM ADOBE, FOX A new program aims to enhance the careers of military veterans working in the entertainment industry. The recent master class launched for veterans who currently work in post production but have little-to-no experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, the editing program used studio-wide at Fo... x. Upcoming programs will be facilitated by Training Command, an organization which provides training that targets arts and culture, diversity initiatives, education, and workplace training as it relates to the entertainment industry. The course is valued at over $3,000 to military veterans and other underserved groups at no cost to the participant. Supporters at Fox provided space on the lot to hold the course as well as real network content for training purposes. Adobe generously sponsored each participants 1-year license to Adobe Creative Cloud. Veterans also received a top of the line portable hard drive from G-Technology, private tours and special guest visits at Fox, and lunch sponsored by Chipotle. With Adobes rapid growth throughout the industry, the program has a lot of promise for veterans who wish to stay competitive in their fields, and for productions that support veteran employment initiatives. An intensive 10-hour, 3-day course, the first boot camp style opportunity served hard-charging veterans by teaching industry standard and advanced editing techniques in a program unfamiliar to them. The boost in skill set has an immediate payoff in an evolving industry. The goal is to see more military veterans and other underrepresented groups breaking in and moving up in post production, and the creative field in general.
