Traffic Planning Consultants provides specialized and high level transportation consulting services focused on special event transportation management. Since 2010, Traffic Planning has prepared Transportation Management Plans (TMP) for downtown motorsports street races at the Baltimore Grand Prix and the 2015 Miami ePrix. The TMP has involved traff... ic impact assessments of the event and proposed street closures, identifying alternative travel route patterns, developing local and regional guide and detour sign plans, developing remote parking and transit shuttle plans and developing the traffic operations plan to accommodate the diverted traffic. The TMP also reviews site specific issues such as pedestrian movement, neighborhood access and freight movement affected by the street closures. Another major part of the work related to the major street races has been developing Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plans for the construction of the temporary racetrack and related items.
