Trad's was founded in 1971 when Betty and Lou Trad opened Trad's Garden Center on San Jose Boulevard. The Garden Center business was a natural fit for Lou Trad, a graduate of the University of Florida's Agriculture School and also for Betty Trad, a lifelong resident of Jacksonville. Responding to the needs of the growing community, Trad's Pest Control was started in 1979 and gained the same solid reputation. Trad's is certified by Florida Green Industries and is certified in Integrated Pest Management for schools and facilities.
