The Town of Union is indeed one of the most special places not only in the company's state, but throughout the country. The company's community - comprised of Endwell and the villages of Endicott and Johnson City - is rich in history, culture and a resolute work ethic that has long been its strength. This community has been my home throughout my li... fe. It's where my husband, Rick, and I chose to live and work, and it's where my daughter, Kristin, received her education and competed in athletics. So it's easy to see why nothing could make me more proud than serving the residents of the Town of Union. It has been a great honor to represent the people in the company's community for four terms, and I've done my best to live up to the trust that's been placed in me. As an elected representative, I believe that providing essential services for town residents, promptly responding to constituent needs, and working to improve people's lives is what public service is all about. Other Town Board members also share that belief. Through teamwork we've achieved such recent and important goals as keeping town property tax rates low, leading the way for uniform code enforcement standards, supporting local ambulance, fire protection and state police/sheriff services, and advancing a comprehensive town development plan. While serving as a Board member, I have had the pleasure of concurrently serving on multiple committees - including Finance (9 years as Chair), Laws & Legislation (8 years-Chair, 13 total years of service), Parks, Recreation & Environment (4 years-Chair, 6 total years), Planning, Zoning & Economic Development (3 years-Chair; 8 total years), and Public Works (3 years).Read More
